2012: 36 of 366 Today is catch-up weekend. All I did was update my entries and watch series I missed out on for the past two weeks. VD and SC are getting exciting and weird at the same time while Nikita is as intense as always. Having said that, yep, I haven’t done anything productive today—except eat. Therefore, I will leave this computer now and do my thing, which is probably watch TV and maybe play some games. Gawd, why am I so irresponsible? 2012: 35 of 366 I had to go to school again today so that I could assist in this year’s Homecoming in our school. We had to sing for choir and serve as usherettes prior to the program. All the “Good evening ma’am/sir. This way to the buffet. ” and the smiling and standing were worth it for those free tickets. We were able to watch Marissa Sanchez a little later in the concert. Damn, that woman can really make you laugh. Lagi niyang bukambibig na Christian na siya and all pero taena gaga pa rin ‘yung bruha. She was pretending to sing this “Japanese song” tapos sa huli narinig kong sinabi niya “suso ko malaki”—pero parang Japanese pa rin pakinggan. Jusko. Super worth it talaga ‘yung pagod. Ang dami kong tawa. Makes me want to go to bars and watch comedians make a fool out of themselves. Someday.

TAGS: changyy366 school Homecoming Marissa Sanchez 2012February4 day35 2012: 34 of 366 WE FRIGGIN’ WON SPEECHFEST! That’s right. We dominated once again. The Speechfest started with the minor events which included the Prepared Speech, Extemporaneous Speaking, Smart Talking with Interviewing, Bible Version, and Dramatic Dialog. In between these events, Category A (freshmen and sophomores) Advertisements and Song Interpretations were performed. The second half started after lunch. The first event was the Tone Colors followed by the Accent Aesthetics. And then came the most-awaited events, Jazz Chant and Song Interpretations from Category B. The Second Attempt Crew performed their last dance before the awarding. I only joined in the Advertisement and in the Jazz Chant—and friggin’ won first place in both! Oh, the joy! I never really thought we’d win in the Jazz Chant. The other year levels were pretty good, too! In addition to that, our class also won in the Song Interpretation in Category B! It’s our class’ first time to ever win first place in song-in, so I guess you can imagine our happiness when Ma’am Leo announced that we were first. Gawd, all that shouting was worth it. After staying in school for a short meeting after the program, we went to Coffee Cat and Toryano’s for dinner. As a result, we arrived in church an hour late. We were overjoyed, okay?

We’ve been practicing our Jazz Chants again for the whole day. We finished at around 7 in the evening. Gawd, I don’t think I can ever speak again after all that shouting. I just hope we really win, though. The class’ song interpretation is doing well too. I spent some time shouting things like “no extra movements” and “dance with feelings” to everyone. I think we really have a shot at this. It’d be awesome if the seniors dominated this year’s Speechfest. 2012: 32 of 366 I can’t believe one month has passed. It seems so.. fast. There’s only 50-something days left ‘til school ends for me. And then there’s graduation and prom. I don’t think I’m ready. Incidentally, we just practiced our Jazz Chant for almost the whole day. We were able to give tune to every line. Our formations are still quite messy though. But at least we’re getting there. We also had pizza for our small groups. It was fun. |
